The original version of this song is from 1991. It was written in Hollywood as a first attempt at a rap song.

It failed miserably at that, but the lyrics were resurrected and used in a song that appeared on the first Majoun record in 1993. It's just one of those riffs that stuck it out in the cobwebbed recesses  of my mind I suppose, as it was resurrected for a 2cd time in 2000 as the 1st track on "Year of the Snake" (We used to break into Nugent's "Stranglehold" in the middle section when we performed it live.)

This tune was penned the night after my good friend Butch told me "I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a short ride",

after walking off his tour bus for the 1st M3 tour and into my show @ Smith's Old Bar in ATL.( I was in the Pleasantdales @ the time. he asked me to join M3 a few months later...) P.S. He was wrong about the ride,

I wrote this as a poem in my 12th grade English class. I left it sitting on my desk and a friend of mine, Jennifer something... picked it up and kept it, she gave it to me five years later when I ran into her during a visit back to the islands...
